deDenim Refunds & Returns Policy

At deDenim, every jacket, hat, and custom piece is created from your vision. We pour creativity, care, and a little denim magic into every stitch, which means your item is truly one-of-a-kind.

Because our items are custom-made according to your approved design, we generally cannot accept returns or exchanges unless the item arrives defective, damaged, or incorrectly made.

To ensure your denim dreams come to life exactly as planned, please review your design sheet carefully before confirming your order. Your design sheet acts as the blueprint for your garment and can be downloaded for reference at any time.

 

By approving your design sheet and completing payment, you confirm that the specifications are correct and authorise deDenim to produce your garment according to the approved design.

Please note that colours may vary slightly due to screen displays, lighting, and fabric dye variations.

 

When Can You Return an Item?

 

We accept returns if your item:

  • Arrives defective or faulty

  • Was incorrectly made according to your approved design sheet

  • Was damaged during shipping

 

If this happens, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order so we can assist you quickly.

 

Your Rights Under the Consumer Protection Act

 

In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, all goods carry a 6-month warranty against manufacturing defects.

 

If your item is found to be defective within 6 months of purchase, you may request one of the following remedies:

  • Repair

  • Replacement

  • Refund

 

This applies only to manufacturing defects and not damage caused by misuse, improper care, normal wear and tear, or failure to follow care instructions.

 

Non-Returnable Items

 

Due to the custom nature of our products, the following items cannot be returned or exchanged if they were made according to the approved design sheet:

 

  • Customised denim jackets, hats, or apparel created specifically for your order

  • Gift cards

 

How to Request a Return

 

To keep things simple and smooth, please follow these steps:

 

Step 1 – Contact Us

 

Email info@dedenim.online within 7 days of receiving your order and include:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Clear photos of the defect or damage

 

Step 2 – Review

 

Our team will review your request and respond within 2–3 working days with the next steps.

Step 3 – Return the Item

 

If your return is approved, we will provide instructions on how to return the item. Items should be returned in the condition received, together with any original packaging where possible.

 

Step 4 – Inspection

 

Once we receive your item, it will be inspected to confirm the issue.

 

Step 5 – Resolution

 

If the return is approved, we will arrange either:

  • A repair

  • A replacement

  • A refund

 

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.

Shipping Returns

 

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, unless the item:

  • Arrived defective

  • Was incorrectly made

  • Was damaged during delivery

 

Gifts

 

If a gifted item is eligible for return due to a defect or damage, we will provide store credit equal to the value of the item.

 

If the gift was not marked as a gift during purchase, refunds will be issued to the original purchaser.

 
Your Design Sheet Matters

 

Your design sheet is your guide. Please review it carefully before confirming your order to ensure your item is made exactly as intended.

 

If your garment is produced exactly according to the approved design sheet, it cannot be returned or refunded.

deDenim Shipping Policy

At deDenim, every piece is crafted just for you. Because your denim is uniquely designed and made to order, shipping includes both production time and delivery time. We appreciate your patience while we create something truly one-of-a-kind.

Order Processing & Production

 

All deDenim items are custom-made based on your approved design sheet.

  • Production time: 10 working days (2 weeks)

  • Once your garment is completed, it will be carefully packaged and prepared for shipment.

  • You will receive an email notification once your denim masterpiece is on the move, including tracking information where available.

Shipping Locations

 

We currently ship within South Africa.

 

If you are located outside South Africa and would like to place an order, please contact us at info@dedenim.online, and we will do our best to assist.

Estimated Delivery Times

 

After production is completed, delivery times typically are:

  • Main centres: 1–3 working days

  • Regional areas: 3–5 working days

 

Delivery times may vary depending on courier schedules and location.

Shipping Costs

 

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery location.

 

Free Shipping: Orders over R2000 qualify for free standard shipping within South Africa.

 

From time to time, deDenim may also offer promotional free shipping, which will be clearly indicated on the website.

Order Tracking

 

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details (if available).

This will allow you to follow your denim’s journey from our studio to your doorstep.

Packaging

 

Your deDenim piece will be carefully packaged to protect the garment during delivery. We take pride in presenting your custom denim beautifully, so it arrives ready to wear and enjoy.

Incorrect Shipping Information

 

Please ensure that your delivery address is correct at checkout. deDenim cannot be held responsible for delays or failed deliveries caused by incorrect or incomplete shipping information.

Delays

 

While we aim to deliver within the estimated timeframes, delays may occasionally occur due to:

  • High order volumes

  • Courier delays

  • Weather or unforeseen logistical issues

If your order is significantly delayed, we will keep you informed.

Lost or Damaged Shipments

 

If your order arrives damaged during shipping, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and include photographs of the damage so we can assist you quickly.
